“Natural and Pure” or even the word “Zechstein” is not a guarantee without the Zechstein Inside® logo. 80% of magnesium is imported from Asia where it is chemically purified and refined in difficult working conditions for export as magnesium oil. Even companies that source their products from the open sea or salt lakes must chemically “upgrade” them to clean out heavy metals and contaminants. These products are often less expensive and are sold in plastic bottles. Spring Water
Our extraction process only uses spring water, which has been certified by high purity standards, to dissolve the magnesium salt layers. We offer total transparency. Anyone may call the source in the Netherlands to verify the origin and purity. This in and of itself is a rarity on the magnesium spray market as well as the magnesium pill market.
For us, there is no need to separate the magnesium from other minerals or contaminants because the rock strata is pure magnesium. The scientific name of pure magnesium chloride in the natural state, i.e. in stratum form, is bischofite. The higher the bischofite quality (its concentration of pure magnesium chloride), the greater the purity of the magnesium spray oil. Magnesium spray oil is not difficult to recreate or “upgrade” by chemical processes using industrial potassium mining “derivative magnesium” but in Holland it is found in a pure state where the Zechstein Sea is found. The marketing “Zechstein” can be used to falsely advertise as this word cannot be protected by law but the “Zechstein Inside®” logo is a sure bet as far as its origin and extraction is concerned. Layers and layers of abundant stratum result from a natural purification within the earth. When the source is pure, no transformation is needed.
What is unique about our products?
Our products are directly from the original European source in Veendam, Holland. Most brands will never tell you the actual location or city where they obtain their magnesium as 80% of magnesium extraction is done in Asia (China, Tibet, Mongolia) and is re-marketed to hide this fact using self-certified, off-site certificates. Why is it that the biggest brands on the American market have not been able to provide a verifiable (by a simple phone call at the source) and current “certificate of origin” when asked by consumers who have subsequently revealed this to us? This includes the most popular and trendy brands. Many dishonest brands deem this information as secret or proprietary. We feel this is a lack of transparency. To their credit, they may have been undiscerning by purchasing solvent treated magnesium or industrial grade magnesium from dealers who falsely claim the Netherlands as the origin, going so far as to use laboratories in the Netherlands to provide their certificate of analysis (but not origin) for their mailed-in samples. The term ‘Zechstein’ cannot be protected by law. Only the trademark Zechstein Inside® can guarantee the origin and purity.
We obtain our magnesium from the #1 Doctor recommended source in Europe, the home of the Zechstein Sea. Our products are sold in over 1000 stores in France and Switzerland.
No dilution. We use maximum concentration, which gives the product a molecular weight which increases absorption. Our products have no carrier oil. Magnesium chloride has a natural viscosity and feels like a dry oil. Many brands dilute their products with added water without telling you.
We use only 100% unrefined Zechstein Inside ® raw-state magnesium spray (or magnesium oil). We do not cut our quality magnesium with cheaper, processed magnesium. Many brands mix low-quality and high-quality magnesium together to save money as they expand yet still retain their original marketing claims. This ‘mixing’ changes the product significantly. However, the majority use a generic industrial grade magnesium spray from the start, which is chemically treated with solvents. We do not add ingredients in order to trademark and have control over our products. We do not feel that aloe vera or other ingredients help magnesium chloride in cellular transport functions, to pick one example.
We use original blue HEALTHY GLASS bottles. 95% of the market uses soft plastic containers which leak endocrine disrupters (BPA and the newly discovered danger BPS) into the final product all the while polluting the environment. Our caps are BPA, DEHP, PVC and phtalate-free.
We do not refine, upgrade or chemically treat our magnesium spray. 100% RAW state. Magnesium flakes are a secondary product which are created by heating the raw oil to over 300 degrees, creating hydrochloric acid in the process. And although they may be a good addition to improve our infected bath water or for light detoxification, they cannot substitute for the primary product. A high percentage of brands use derivative magnesium from potassium mining operations and most chemically treat with solvents to purify contaminants before sale. Why does molecular purity matter?
Detoxification is the key to full spectrum magnesium spray application. Magnesium is responsible for hundreds of vital functions in the body. One major role it plays is to heal the nervous system, but there are also many studies on magnesium’s role in magnesium-dependent, enzyme-assisted chelation. Magnesium chelates toxins, heavy metals and even EDCs (endocrine disrupting chemicals). These toxins are then excreted through transpiration, among other channels. There are many studies on magnesium and chelation, and concomitantly, its role in detoxification. When the magnesium spray is pure and unrefined it retains 100% of its chelation properties. Why do glass containers matter?
Magnesium is involved in cell membrane transport. Magnesium contains the “keys and locks” to and from the cellular sanctuary! Therefore a magnesium molecule that is contaminated with plastic compounds delivers these compounds directly to the cell.

The softer the plastic, the more potential it has to leach into the final product. User-end packaging is always made from soft-plastics. These plastics come into contact with the product and can contaminate the product, making it less effective in removing these same endocrine disrupting chemicals from the body, which is an important part of why we detox in the first place. Perfection may not be possible here in our polluted world but, as these toxins are cumulative, we seek to reduce as much as possible our daily exposure. Plastic compounds come into contact with heat, halogen lighting radiation and oxygen, all of which degrade the plastic compounds. Not only on the shelf but as we use them.
Many suppliers of food grade olive oils, to pick one example, which ship in large hard-plastic tubs have begun to realize that hermetically sealed, low-oxygen hard-plastic tubs, which are only used for 1 to 2 week-long boat transport, can reduce greatly any leaching effect caused by transport. If they were to then pour this same olive oil into esthetically oriented, user-end soft plastics exposing all of the surface area of the oil to soft-plastic which will itself be exposed to halogen radiation, heat and oxygen, they would successfully contaminate their products–increasing by more than 500% the exposure and thus the rate of leaching. Be attentive : The marketing “100% natural” does not guarantee anything. 80% of the world’s magnesium comes from Asia, mostly from the Qaidam industrial basin in China, which is located on the “Qinghai-Tibet” plateau, where asbestos and gas are also extracted. Also be wary of generic products, even those from local coastlines or open seas because in order to make magnesium oil with sea or inland salt water brine, one will need to concentrate the mineral salts which concentrates the pollution and heavy metals into the brine. Dead Sea and Salt Lake minerals have high levels of bromine and mercury, respectively. Making it necessary to go through thermal or chemical processes in order to “clean”, “upgrade” or separate the magnesium from contaminants. These products undergo consequent transformations. Why is the source so important?
Magnesium is all the same right?
There is a reason why ALL the major brands do not give out detailed source information with the actual city of origin. Most of the industry uses a less expensive industrial grade magnesium which is used for de-icing planes in order to create their supplements, oils and magnesium spray. Who wants to order from Europe when China provides 85% of the worlds magnesium for much cheaper? China will even sell these products to US brands with a host of magnesium creams and lotions in cheap plastics as if they were Zechstein using Ancient, Permian or even Zechstein marketing claims. It is a strong temptation to have China bottle, market and supply the magnesium as this saves lots of money as one no longer has to ship from different sources, like Holland, and bottle when they can do it all for you. Anyone can chemically “upgrade” undiscerning strata from the Salt Lakes (with high mercury), the Dead Sea (with high bromine) or even from Tibetan exploitation to create all sorts of generic products via solvents and chemicals but what we are after is a naturally made, not man made, purity. That makes all the difference.
